The upcoming feature film ‘IBRAHIM’ is a testament to resilience, having survived the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic. After navigating a series of unprecedented challenges, the film is finally ready to hit the silver screen.
The Struggle behind the Scenes
Filming for ‘Ibrahim’ began in late 2019, but the production hit a major roadblock in March 2020 as the world went into lockdown. The entire crew faced a harrowing ordeal, confined to the set with no way out while news of rising deaths and illness spread globally. The fear and uncertainty had a significant impact on the film’s narrative and production flow.
Director and Producer Prince AR revealed that nearly 40% of the work came to a standstill due to the pandemic panic. However, the team resumed filming in 2021, and the movie successfully received an uncut clearance from the Censor Board (The Bangladesh Film Certification Board) in 2022.
Director’s Perspective
Reflecting on the journey, Prince AR stated, “It was a terrifying experience. None of us were familiar with COVID-19 back then, and working amidst such a global crisis was mentally exhausting. ‘IBRAHIM’ represents the sweat, tears, and survival of our entire production team.”
Produced and directed by Prince AR under the banner of CONTEXT G FILMS, the production house has confirmed that ‘IBRAHIM’ will be released in theaters very soon.
